My first experience with the Slash has been GREAT!!...of course, I can't drive for **** but other than that all is well....except, somehow I managed to lose a bottom spring retainer on the front shock. I was wondering if it would be okay to glue them on with a drop of CA....or is this some kind of "fluck" thing that only happens to me..:D

The spring cup either wasn't "clipped" onto the shock shaft fully or who knows what ?

You can try a drop of CA or even consider RPM spring cups, they snap on with a little more athourity.

I doubt it'll ever happen again, pretty much a fluke unless you crash real hard for them to just "pop" off...

The Slash is a Blast Isn't It !!

I have had the retainers pop off on my rustler but it took a very hard hit to do so, about 30MPH into an 8x8 post! LOL my wheels actually fell off and the never hit the post, it was a dead on hit with just the bumper but the momentum of everything did some damage, new caster blocks and screws where required.

I dont have a Slash, but I had a similar problem with another vehicle. All I did was drill a small hole in the retainer and put a zip tie thru it and the shock.
I wouldny glue it one b/c if you happen to break the ball end, then the reatiner will be glued to it and would be a pain to get it off.

Thats quit a crash !!
Couple years back I was getting crazy with my LST MT and lost signal (due to a bare spot on the receiver wire from rubbing on the aluminum antenna mount) The truck took off like a bat out of hell across a field and blasted a dumpster at full speed. The impact broke every single control arm, broken front bulkhead, tweaked all 4 axles.
AWESOME CRASH, parts flew everywhere :-)
