Bashing VS Racing

Ok. So as some of you may know I have recently gotten back into driving RCs again. I am curious. Which is more fun these days? Bashing or actually racing? I remember racing was great. Yet now, there are so many new things, so many new rules, that I feel overwhelmed. Perhaps thats why I am thinking about staying a basher.
So if I do decide to stay a basher, I would like to know. What is the toughest built 1/10th scale out there? I want something I can throw a Mamba Monster in, and run the max allowable LiPo set up. Yes I know Momba Monsters are bigger than normal 550 cans. I will modify for speed, and the suspension to handle the extra battery weight.
Yet if I decide to start racing again, where can I get up to date information on rules, and classes. Who will have the best list of RC Tracks across the US? I am going to be moving a few times over the next few years.

I just like to go with the fly - bash if you have somebody to bash with or race in the sportsclass at your local hobby shop. It's all about messing with your truck and hanging out with other people. Sometimes I just go outside and let random people/neighbors bash my truck or give a good exercise to the local cops who run after my xxx-t (they need to work off all those free donuts). With the ROAR racing you get a different crowd - people who put a lot more work and money into the hobby. They are, too, often happy to see new faces on their track and take interest in their niche. If you know what track you'll be visiting, introduce yourself at their forum.

Another option is to mount an rc airsoft gun your truck and shoot biodegradable bullets. hmm?

Id have to say racing. I did my fair share durin my OIF time. The best part is walkin past the platoon daddy while hes talkin his smack about his "REVO" doing fast laps on the track that you built . and droping your Erevo down on the track and sayin ill race you when your done talk. and havin the 8 laps bein with in 3 ft of eachother. and doing a photo finish. He was shocked. im not good but i built the track w/ killing nitros in mind.
