Good morning.
Brand new to rc, yes I have been living under a rock ,
But at least i know i want to run electric and no mess about with carburators and fuels , I have manage to drive a few real size buggy and throphy trucks before and have enough of that . But never rc, so I don't know what i'm really getting into .
I have a look at the Traxxas vehicles specialy the slash and I fall in love straigh away must be the waterproofing feature ,as london tend to be a really wet place most of the year, but I never have driven a hobby grade rc in my life .So I don't really know if 1:10 is the place to start . I also have read lots about brushlees, lipo , chargers balancer servos and the whole shebang. so I getting arround wich hops up I will like to try once my experience improve
I also have a look at the other scales and maker
so what you guys recomend for a noob
small scale 1/36 or 1/18 or go straight for the 1/10 ?
Ciao

I dont see any thing wrong with starting ont with 1/10 scale because I did. I also think that the slash would be a grate place to start. Then after a while you could put a brushless system in it and use lipo batteries. But if you do that it wont be water proof any more. So if you are looking for a truck that is fun and water proof then I recommend the slash or the e revo(off road more than on pavement) Thats my opinion. Hope this helped!

Well if you change the motor then you have to change the speed controle and the speed controle is not water safe. The only way you can keep your truck water safe is if you run the stock system. I have a e revo but I never run it in water mud or snow. I also recommend the rustler and the stampede(not water safe).

Welcome to NitroKillers. I think you're headed down the right track, here. I personally think that 1/10 is a lot easier to start on that 1/18 or 1/36. It's easier to see how things go together and a lot easier to work on.
The Slash is a great vehicle, but depending on how much mud you are going through, it may not handle it very well. The E-revo should handle most mud and water just fine, though.

No kidding. I handed over the remote to my 8-year old nephew on my brushless Slash and told him to have fun. It's a little more scratched up, but nothing is broken!

So you got the slash. I have not ran the slash but looks like a good truck. And from you post I'm going to guess that you are in "love" with it. Have fun!!

Thanks for showing me that. The slash looks like a cool truck with a brushless system in it.:)

You cannot beat the Traxxas line - the Stampede will stand the most bashing as it has a higher suspension, but the Slash will handle a lot better. Let me know if you need help gearing your truck. Good luck on your first purchase and have fun!

The Slash and Stampede have almost the same exact suspension, however the chassis is completely different for a low CG and better handling on the Slash.
