Traxxas Bandit and Rustler, also have an Evader ST from Duratrax. Trying to save up for some brushless systems, currently running Trinity 27T Monster Stock motors. I think its pretty cool when you have non-competitive racers (Traxxas) and make them into one.

At the moment I just have my Traxxas VXL Rusty and it's good times, not a club racer or nothing but I do like practicing some laps around my LHS' dirt track.

I race a RC10B4 and T4 with stock motors, on the dirt oval I also race a TC4 with a mamba max 5700 and maxamps 5000 mah 2s pack, and 18t (converted to oval) with a Tekin 8000 brushless system with elite 1500 cells. I havnt gotten around to getting a lipo pack for my 18t yet, but I will in the future. :D

I've raced just about everything over the years, from mini's to monsters. Now I race my Stampede in the dirt oval and roadcourse series at my LHS. I used to race sedan, but it just got too serious and wasn't any fun anymore. I might start racing the vintage class next point season, 4 cell, Stinger motor, treaded tires, looks like a fun class to race in. Now I just have a great time with my pede, win lose or crash. After all, fun is what it's all about, right? Oh, and this is my 1st post here, so...HI EVERYONE!
Troy.
i dont race and havent for a few years but i have a converted hyper 7 and a kyosho lazer zx-5 that goes 74.1mph ;)

I don´t know if this is the right place to write this but since it is a thread about what people race, it can´t be totaly wrong.
On-road i race with Mini-Zas for the moment, thinking of buying Li-Ion cells to it, it´s a little slow for the moment i think. ;) I have been racing both 1:10 TC and 1:12 track, but it was to expensive since i started to drive MT.
Off-road then i will be racing with a custom built monstertruck/truggy, a Gorillamaxx G3R with some Novak HV-Maxx 4.5, MaxAmps 6000mAh Li-Po´s and some other fun stuff... Maybe also a Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 to for the other off-road track. I´ll just wait and se, but firstly i have to complete my truck. :)

Hi chriztoffer, i just finished modding my xmod 350z gen1 with new fetts stacked 2 up with the tight turns mod ,stage two motor upgrade and best of all two 3.6v li-po's to give it 8v at peak output!! it scares me, it takes off,, literally, at about 40mph, if i can keep it down it will go faster. mcn1

I am still building, but I am working on four different versions of the Extended Emaxx and all of them will be running Maxxamps power when completed. I am having a blast just constructing these trucks so I am excited about getting them dirty once they are finished.:D

That sounds really cool M-CHASSIS-NUMBER1! For the moment my fastest Mini-Z does about 45mph on a Tamiya Speedchecker. I havent been able to drive it at full speed on a track tough bcz it´s to fast. But it would be nice if i could get it up to 60mph, just to do it. :) Feels good to tell those 1:10 TC drivers that i have a car that is about 1/3 of theirs in size but faster. ;)

top stuff chriZ, sounds fantastic, the estimated 40mph i got is worked out over a fixed distance, it is crazy what these little thing are capable of, i have had an M03 up to 50mph with me in persuit in my mates 365bhp impretza on the dual carriage way at 5am but the plastic gear box started melting when a couple of the ball races melted( the main barrier to mad speeds! perhaps a sealed oil sump will cure it) perhaps the tech rc belt drive conversion is on the cards! will it do 100mph??mmmm
ChriZtoffer
11-13-2007, 04:14 PM
Hehe, that´s cool! :P I can understand that it melted, at those speeds things start to rotate at very high RPM. But i´m glad that i´m not able to test my Mini-Zas top speed at a track, i think that my Maxx truck was fast enough at 40mph, and it´s alot bigger! Anyway, high speed is addicting! And expensive... ;)

The only parts that i have broken are the front hinge pin brace, and the front ring gear when using the one way diff. Other than that mine has been rock solid. The only other car i would consider is the Academy SBV2 Pro. It is a tank!

I use a Team Losi XXXT with a Novak GTB and 10.5 motor. For outdoor racing or high bite tracks I run a 6.5 motor. For juice I use a MaxAmps 6000 7.4v battery.

Just grudge racing at the local track with the VXL Rustler. The local club that runs the track doesn't have a electric class, and I think I am the only one that runs electric at the track. After seeing the look on their faces when a electric truck whoops them. I'm sure its just a matter of time until a electric class opens up.

Why dont you turn them on to this site and maybe the buzz of activity will help push them over the edge. Before you know it there will be nothing but electric at your track. Cheers.

I have been trying but the sad part is those die hard nitro guys still see electrics as "toys" even when they are eating my dust :) . I posted a flyer today at the local hobby shops trying to recruit more nitro killers. We'll see how it goes

Losi XXXTMF2, Tamiya TL-01B, Tamiya DF02. The TL01B has only a 19 turn motor and stick packs (everyone else runs brushless/low turn motors and LiPos), so it gets spanked. But it's pretty cool when I can pass people in the slow twisties. :D

I raced my xxx-t last weekend but it has too many problems so as a cheap alternative to getting a new xxx-t I'm going to build an Ultimate Rustler like what jang did. BTW I'm not lazy with my xxx-t it's just I've had it for 2 years and whenever I need it to be reliable something wears out. Like last Saturday the diff broke during the 2nd round of qualifing (I was in 3rd or so).

I ended up racing the rusty a few weeks ago and I was very happy with it. I ended up getting third. Still need to get my groove down with that track. Also the tires I was using didn't work so well with the track and couldn't put to much power down through the turns without fish tailing. Also I needed a tad bit more steering so I've come up with drilling the hole that holds one of the ball studs for the link connecting the servo the bellcranks in closer to the middle of the bellcrank. Hopefully that makes sense. But other than that the truck was great.
