Hi all,

Has anyone done an electric conversion on a 1/8th HSP Tornado MT?

I have one without an engine and i don't like Nitro so i want to convert it to electric.

Any help would be great. Here is a pic of the roller.

Cheers, Brett.

I have never seen or heard of one of those before. Looks like a flat pan truggy with some beefy tires and arms. There are many ways to do the conversion. I don't think there are any kits you can by especially for that truck. You will probably just have to modify it yourself to make a kit work. Good luck!

Get that tank off and lets have a look at the center diff area. Who knows something from another truggy conversion may just fit it.

From my experience, most of the off brand cars are similar to the Kyosho 7.5 with alot of their parts.
Does any one near you have a Kyosho 7.5 or an Ofna buggy?

I will check out some members rides on another site i subscribe to.

I should be able to get a few pics of their cars with the top off as i'm well known there. I'll let you know how i go.

Cheers, Brett.

Looking at it the lay out looks very similar to the Caster F8T truggy chassis. I wonder can you flip yours and take some measurements of hole placements for the front diffs and such I can measure mine here and see if they are close. Take a picture of the under side, a good close up.

235mm between the front and rear bogbone ends, 85mm between the front diff and centre diff (front dogbone length), 90mm between the rear diff and centre diff (rear dogbone length), 290mm between the front and rear (inside) diff mount screw centres.

Let me know any other measurements you need. Hear are some pic of the chassis plate. Sorry about the rear end pic, it's getting late here. 11.00pm! and my eyes are getting tired.

Cheers, Brett.
