Which is better; Traxxas's TRX or Deans
It looks like TRX has more contact area than deans so it might be better

I have not used the Traxxas ones. But I think it's pretty clear that they are a Deans type knockoff and both designs likely do the same job equally well.
I like the compact and ready to use style of the Deans... and the fact that they are well proven over many years.
I'm sure the TRX are good too and I might go with them if I were new to r/c or running Traxxas cars, but it's Deans for me. :)

I have used both and i am using TRX now. Resistance wise, there's probably not a big difference. It seems easier to attach the TRX due to the design and no need for shrink wrap at connector. Also, the TRX are easier to hold when disconnecting. IMO, if you are about to change to one or the other go with the Traxxas HCC's.

Are the TRX easy to take apart and re-wire them? Something stubborn working with them?
The LHS guys were complaining about them being a pita.... not sure why.

With the TRX you must use something against the outer edge of the connector terminal to force the terminal backwards out of the connector (to reuse only). I simply use the end of a small screwdriver, caution to be taken so you dont stab yourself if holding connector end in one hand and tool in the other. Terminals can be soldered out of the conn. so it doesn't end up melted and no need for shrink wrap.

I guess I'm going to have to switch to TRX connectors because I've always hated how hard it is to disconnect deans plugs. Well it's not that hard but when the body is on the truck and you're trying to pull it apart real fast it gets tough.
