hello everyone, i'm building my first electric buggy, it's a jammin cr & am using a mm w/ an 8xl & a ubec, i'm looking for a maxamps 4s but can't choose which one?

i'll be bashing for the most part so i'm looking mainly for run time, i was looking at the 4s2p 8000mah but have now started to question myself, so i was hoping for some input.

thanks

MaxAmp 6000, have them build it with the wires coming out the side. It fist battery trays that hold a 6 sub-C pack with no mods.

I don't use mine for bashing, but I can run two heats with power to spare.

I have run 5000,6000, and 8000 packs and any will work just fine.

I like the 5000 pack the best... smaller and lighter. But when I need runtime the 8000 works great too. The buggies can handle it just fine... although I would not want to go any bigger.

I do have a bigger pack in my CRT (12k mah)

Yeah, I'd go with no less than the 5Ah packs on a buggy with an 8XL. Any smaller and the batteries might have to work too hard to provide the pulse current an 8XL can pull, but that depends on vehicle weight, drivestyle, and gearing too. If you went with a higher voltage pack matched with a higher turn motor, then you could reduce the current draw yet have the same overall power output.
