Is anyone else out there got the chance to build or race the new ACADEMY 2WD CAR YET this car seems to be very good, with the castor being in the bulkhead instead of the c hubs makes a big difference and with haveing the option of 27.5 degrees helps as well the car has a hole lot of shock travel and a very low center of gravity this in my opion will be a great rough track car and that will be a advantage in its self over the competion,GREAT CAR WITH A GOOD NAME AND GREAT DESIGN.!!!????

LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS:::D

I have one. I just ordered a bunch of parts and the new Diggity Designs graphite shock towers, batter hold down and steering rack for it. I also have new titanium tie rods. Once everyone thing comes in I will tear it back down and put all the new stuff on it.

Sounds Good And The Car Looks Good As Well Let Me Know What You Thanks Of The New Diggity Stuff .!? Have You Raced It Yet :)I only ran it once but for the track I race at the stock pistons make the suspension too soft and not enough pac off the jumps. The car will be 100% better once I get my new pistons.

I will say the car had awesome steering at my track I run at. This video is from are big race on Saturday. 30 plus mod buggies. I finished 11th overall and should of bumped to A but was kinda stiffed because someone said their personal didn't count right so I was in the A and then was taken out.

Don't let the video fool you that it looks smooth as it is very rough between jumps and if you hit off angle will tumble your car all over the place. Track is very hard on parts and don't take but a few runs on a new car to make everything loose and need to shim again.

Are you in this race? If so which one?No such luck. That was the A main that I bumped up to only to be told when I was getting ready for the A that they put someone else in because they had a transponder problem.

Dang I would be pretty mad if I got told that.I was because once I was in a transfer postion I slowed my pace so I knew I wouldn't wreck to make the A main. I could of pushed alot harder knowing I wasn't in a transfer position. I was a little mad but I have sponsors and didn't want to look like a bad sport either so I didn't say too much at all other than thats not cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Next time I won't be in that position as I will have the car better setup for that track.

My car has been getting better. Are track is running slicks which I don't care for too much but once a month they run a treaded tire race. I practiced with the treaded tires on and the car was awesome. If this is any indication on how it will work on the outdoor tracks I can't wait til spring.

Car was very smooth and forgiving to drive. Had great off power steering (which is what I like) with a nice neutral feel on power.

My local track in Indiana is clay blue groove ,but is not full of traction and suprisingly the ACADEMY fusion tires work very well on this 2wd with pink extra wide 4 rib pre scrubed front losi tires, and short arm pin locations.

And on another note the 4600's from MAXAMPS are really good on the third cycle through so to anyone with the new packs don't get to frustrated with the packs they will come alive and they come alive very well

My car was better than it has been since I bought it. We ran treaded tires this weekend instead of slicks and my car was pretty dialed. Only think it is missing is either needing 5wt heavier oil in the rear shocks and or #57 rear pistons. Every week the car is getting better.

Well after a few weeks of struggling at are track I finally got my GV2 to really hook up for me. Its been a few weeks but it really is coming alive now. Mainly me being lazy and not making some nice slicks for are track along with not really chaning many adjustments kept the car from getting faster on are track.

This week I kept making little changes and during the week I made some nice slicks for it. The best change that really made my lap times get faster was going to the wide MLP in the front. I gained 5 to 8 tenths a lap by just doing that. Freaking amazing on are track. The tuning guide said fro high traction, bumpy tracks it seems to work well........OMG it did.:D

Dave does stop in from time to time to see whats up. A few team guys post alot and the tips everyone posts have been great. I'm really getting a good handle on my car and it gets better ever week.

For the first time since I bought the car I will be running outdoors. Been running indoors on clay all winter but this weekend if the weather stays nice I will be going outdoors for the first time with my car. Can't wait to run it and see how it feels.

So how has things been with the car?The more I run it the better it has been getting. I have a lipo plate on order and will help get my car to the weight I have been looking for. I think that will really help alot.

Overall I'm glad I have been sticking with the car and trying all kinds of new setups. I'm learning alot andenjoy running the car.

Ok I redid the rear shocks with the titanium shock shafts I found that are 50mm like the stock shock shaft are.

Here is the parts I used:

Duratrax part # DTXC9729
Traxxas #2362 shock rebuild kit.

In the Traxxas rebuild kit I use the o rings, e clips, and the shock bladders flipped. I used the stock shock piston and the stock washer. I ended up using one more tiny shim to take up the left over space between the piston and the e clip.

I added 30wt oil in the rear and the shocks are smooth as can be with no air in the shocks. The new Traxxas bladder is a little thinner and allows me to add just a little more oil and have nice pressure as the shaft comes up about 50% of the way when totally done. I'm super happy with this setup. Just need to run it Saturday to make sure the Traxxas o rings won't leak too much but I'm sure it will be fine. My shocks are set at 103mm overall length.

Now I will redo the front shocks with the titanium shafts I have for it. They are 4mm longer than stock which is fine since alot of guys are turning the front shock ends out 3 turns which is about 3mm longer anyways. I'm thinking if I use the short shock end and the new longer shafts I should be right on the money length wise.

Reason I did this hopup is to have longer lasting shock shafts that don't get as scratched up and willstay smoother for a longer period of time. Also no one that I know has done it either.

Ok I did the rear shocks as well.

DTXC9727 44mm front titanium shock shaft

I used the same setup as the rear shocks except for the shock shaft. I used the short shock bottom and then used a 4mm spacer on the outside of the shock and it came out perfect.

Shocks feel better than when new.
