Nice Conversion, Very Neat and Tidy !
I especially like the idea of the cooling holes in the Mamba ESC.

Nice clean conversion.
How are your temps and run times w/ this set up?
entjoles

so far i have only ran it once for 5 min., and every thing was at 85-90*f
i have geared up , but have yet to run it
with the 4s set-up and 5000 mah it should be aroung 15-20 min (i hope)

changed the layout a little , made a center diff plate to mount everything and make disassembly easy, still need a ubec, and i will be trimming the wires to the appropriate length

i have added mech. brakes to my xt8
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u270/entjoles/IMG_1527.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u270/entjoles/IMG_1582.jpg
i used a rc-monster neu motor plate adapter as a spacer and then cut off some of it to clear the brake disk and pads, in these pics it is geared 13/48
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u270/entjoles/IMG_1585.jpg
i also got a custom spacer from rc-monster to get the same effect when using a diff. style motor(w/o heatsink clamp on motor)

i did drive it before i had the spacer plate , the mech. brakes felt very good
but not since i put it back together
the blue motor is a 9xl and the purple is a 9L which is in there to see how it runs and what kind of temps i will have with a smaller motor

I (had) a 10L in a Emaxx useing 4s and it locked up ? ESC,lipo were ambient temp and motor was super heated ? Hope you have better luck with the smaller mill.

it will most likely run hot, but i plan on doing some easy bashing and checking temps often, if it gets hot quick , its back to the xl
