    Default Xtreme racing 17mm hubs

    Is anyone running the Xtreme Racing hubs? I tried to install mine and the hex pins won't slide into the bottom half of the hex. I got this Slash used, so I'm really interested to know if anyone had trouble with this or if maybe the previous owner may have put in a slightly beefier hex pin.

    They may be that way so that they have to be pressed in or squeezed in with Pliers. I know some 1/8th scale hub pins are that way if they don't have a set screw.It prevents the pin from being lost when you pull a wheel off.

    These have a set scre to hold the pin in, so I'm thinking the previous owner have have put something slightly larger in there.

    Time to call the LHS and see what they've got...

    Somthing to consider ?
    At my LHS there are well stocked w/various materials;
    For all my RC's I purchase The tempered "Piano Wire" and cut all my own pins for everything.
    Even the thicker material like for the 1/8 scale MT's and Buggys hub pins, a 3' peice is still only $1.50 or less and has multiple uses verses a pre package dealie-o of pins.
    The variety of diameters of wire could be deverse compared to name brand stuff ?

    I had a hard time with mine when I first installed them, but I just kept working at it and they finally dropped in. It is just a matter of getting them lined up correctly......but they are still a pain.
